Atrium House, near Trilofos, is a family home for four.
The heart of the house is an open atrium in the center of the building. Around the atrium, the house consists of 3 volumes:

1. V1 – Main entrance with staircase and corridor
2. V2 – Living Room, Dining, and Kitchen on the ground floor. Master bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet on the first floor.
3. V3 – Kids Playroom, guest room & bathroom on the ground floor. Two bedrooms with bathroom, storage & laundry room on the first floor.

The Atrium connects all volumes on the ground floor with large openings on every side.

Primary care when designing this house was to build a home where living around an open, private, green court would result in creating beautiful moments for the family members. A place to enjoy the warm weather and each other, feeling safe, happy, and peaceful.

The materials selected to complete the vision for the Atrium House are:

• Barcode Aluminum Cladding resembling Wood

Atrium House is a sustainable building. Passive solar design for natural ventilation, proper shading of openings, and use of natural lighting. High-end insulation and energy-efficient openings. Heat pumps, solar water heaters, underfloor heating-cooling system, and photovoltaics on the roof create an autonomous, energy-efficient building.

In terms of sustainability and lifetime of a building, Atrium House was designed to be easily modified to comply with the needs of two families. A minor alteration of changing the staircase from one to two, and the addition of some interior walls, can easily result in the creation of two separate homes, 140m² each.
